OUR INFORMATION

Clear by design.

How we approach product quality, handle your information and set out the terms of using and shopping with Optima Herbs.

01 — QUALITY & SAFETY

Care before claims.

What matters is not how loudly a product is described, but whether its information is clear, accurate and appropriately supported.

Food supplements should be approached thoughtfully. Our role is to give you useful product information without presenting herbs as medicines or promising outcomes we cannot guarantee.

Product information

Read the ingredients, directions and key warnings on the individual product page and the label before use. Follow the storage instructions and check the best-before date on the product you receive.

Sourcing and checks

Refer to the individual product information for any stated origin, formulation or testing details. Do not assume that a certification or testing statement applies to every product in the range. If you need more information about a particular product or batch, please use our contact form.

Using supplements safely

  • Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.
  • Keep products out of the sight and reach of young children.
  • Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, have a health condition or are unsure whether a product is suitable, ask a qualified healthcare professional before use.
  • Stop using a product and seek appropriate advice if you experience an unexpected reaction.

No medical advice

Website and Journal content is general information, not individual medical advice. Our products are foods, not medicines, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease.

02 — PRIVACY

Your details, handled carefully.

How personal information is used when you browse, contact us or place an order.

We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate the website, respond to you, fulfil orders and meet our legal responsibilities.

Who is responsible

Optima Herbs

For privacy requests, use our contact form, choose Other and mention privacy in your message. No order number is needed.

Information we may collect

  • Contact and delivery details, such as your name, email and address, and a telephone number if supplied at checkout.
  • Order, payment-status and customer-service records. Payment card details are normally handled by the payment provider rather than stored by us.
  • Messages you send us and information needed to resolve an order or product query. Please do not include payment-card details or sensitive medical information in the contact form.
  • Technical information such as your IP address and browser details, and cookie information where an enabled service collects it. This page loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives technical information when your browser requests them.

Why we use it

Order and delivery details are used to fulfil our contract with you. Accounting and legally required records are kept to meet legal obligations. We rely on legitimate interests to answer general enquiries, secure the website and prevent fraud, balanced against your rights. If optional marketing is offered, or consent is needed for optional cookies, we ask first. Without required order details we cannot fulfil an order; without contact details we cannot reply.

Who may receive it

Only where needed, information may be shared with providers that support hosting, ecommerce, payments, delivery, professional advice and regulatory compliance. We limit what we share to what is needed for their role. We do not sell your personal information.

Services outside the UK

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer takes place, UK data-protection law requires an applicable adequacy arrangement or another valid safeguard. Contact us for details of the providers and safeguards relevant to your information.

Retention and your rights

We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, including tax, accounting, safety and dispute requirements. Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to use of your information, and to data portability or withdrawal of consent.

Use our contact form to exercise your rights. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

03 — TERMS

Shopping, plainly stated.

These terms set the basic relationship between Optima Herbs and visitors or customers using this website.

These terms apply to purchases from Optima Herbs. Please read them before ordering and keep a copy for your records. Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

Website information

We aim to keep descriptions, availability and prices accurate, but may correct errors and update information. Images and colours can vary by screen. Product packaging or labels may change; check the item received before use.

Orders and payment

An order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we accept the order, normally through a dispatch confirmation. Before acceptance, we may decline an order if an item is unavailable, payment is not authorised or we cannot lawfully supply it. If a material pricing error affects your order, we will contact you rather than charge a different amount without your agreement. Any payment taken for an order we do not accept will be refunded. Once accepted, your contractual and statutory rights apply.

Prices and delivery

Prices are shown in pounds sterling, including applicable taxes. We deliver within the UK only, with no minimum order. Dispatch is within 1–2 working days and delivery typically takes 1–3 working days after dispatch. Delivery is £1.99 for 1 pack, £2.99 for 2–3 packs and free for orders over £30. Your order total is shown before payment. See our Delivery section for full details. Unless otherwise agreed, delivery must take place within 30 days.

Cancellation and returns

UK consumers generally have 14 days after delivery to tell us they wish to cancel an online order, then a further 14 days to return eligible goods. Exceptions can apply, including to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrect goods are handled separately and your statutory rights are not affected. We also offer 30-day unopened returns, including sale items. See our Returns section for postage, refunds and how to contact us before returning goods.

Acceptable use and ownership

Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code, or copy our branding, photography, design or original content without permission. Website content is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise.

Liability and governing law

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from consumer use. These terms are governed by the applicable law of the United Kingdom jurisdiction in which you live.

Cookie categories

If our use changes

Where consent is required, optional cookies must stay off until you accept them. You can refuse them and change your choice through the cookie controls when offered. Refusing should be as easy as accepting. Necessary cookies support requested features and cannot always be disabled through those controls.

Your browser

You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the basket, checkout or other requested functions from working correctly.
