The short version
We collect very little. We don’t run advertising, we don’t sell data, and we don’t share it with anyone except the suppliers listed below who help us run the site.
What we collect
If you email us, we hold your email address and whatever you write, so we can reply. We keep correspondence for two years and then delete it.
If you join our email list, we hold your email address and the date you subscribed. Nothing else — no name required, no preferences, no tracking of what you open.
Server logs. Our host records standard technical information — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — as part of operating the server securely. These are retained by our host for ⟨CHECK HOSTINGER’S RETENTION PERIOD⟩ and we don’t use them for anything else.
We do not collect information about your health, and we ask that you don’t send us any.
Why we’re allowed to
Under UK GDPR we rely on:
- Consent, for the email list. You opted in and can opt out at any time.
- Legitimate interests, for replying to your correspondence and keeping the site secure and functioning.
Who we share it with
- Hostinger, who host the site and process any data passing through it

We don’t share personal data with anyone else. We don’t sell it. We don’t use it for advertising.
Cookies

Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can withdraw consent for the email list whenever you like — there’s an unsubscribe link in every email, and it works immediately.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we’ll say so on the site rather than quietly amending it.
